What does the security analysis actually check?

QR SafeCode checks a scanned code against 33 different threat types before you open it — phishing and typosquatted domains, homoglyph and Punycode tricks, URL shorteners hiding their destination, open redirects, unencrypted connections, dangerous URI schemes, USSD phone codes, premium-rate numbers and SMS short codes, cryptocurrency payment requests, app deep links, open and spoofed Wi-Fi networks, and injection patterns in contact cards. All of it runs locally on your device.

Is my scan history sent anywhere?

No. Scanning and analysis happen entirely on your device. Scanned content is never transmitted, and your history is stored only on your iPhone.

What does Premium include?

Premium unlocks Logo QR codes, QR-in-QR generation, multi-format scanning (Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417 and Micro QR), the Dot module style, and unlimited colour QR codes. It is an auto-renewable subscription priced at $0.99 per year.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select QR SafeCode and tap Cancel. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

A QR code will not scan. What should I try?

• Make sure the whole code, including its white border, is inside the frame
• Pinch to zoom — very small or very dense codes often need it
• Move to better light, or move slightly further away rather than closer
• Very dense codes printed small (for example a full-capacity Version 40 QR) can be beyond what any phone camera resolves on paper

Which formats can QR SafeCode read?

Standard QR, Micro QR, Data Matrix, Aztec Code and PDF417, plus QR-in-QR detection. QR SafeCode does not scan 1D retail barcodes such as EAN or UPC.
