QR SafeCode ("the App") is developed by Francisco Chaigneau (Privara). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, your rights, and important disclaimers.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER — SECURITY ANALYSIS

QR SafeCode provides security analysis as informational guidance only, not as a guarantee of safety or danger.

The App may produce false positives (flagging safe content as dangerous) or false negatives (failing to detect malicious content), including techniques that are new, previously unknown, or not yet published. By using this App, you acknowledge that:

Security analysis is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind.
The developer is not responsible for damages resulting from reliance on the App's security ratings.
The App does not guarantee the safety or legitimacy of any QR code, URL, or content.
You are solely responsible for your decision to open or interact with any content, including content opened by mistake.
The App is not a substitute for professional cybersecurity tools or personal judgment.
The developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App.

Analytics (TelemetryDeck)

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the App is used. TelemetryDeck collects:

This data is never linked to your identity. TelemetryDeck does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) and does not track users across apps or websites. All user identifiers are hashed before transmission.

Purchase Information

If you subscribe to QR SafeCode Premium, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details.

3. QR Code Scanning

All QR code scanning and security analysis is performed locally on your device. Scanned QR code content is never sent to our servers. Your scan history is stored only on your device and is never transmitted.

4. Camera Access

The App requires camera access solely for scanning QR codes. Camera data is processed in real-time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

5. Photo Library Access

The App may request access to your photo library to save generated QR codes or to scan QR codes from existing photos. We do not access, upload, or share any other photos from your library.

6. Data Storage

All user preferences, scan history, and app settings are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This data is not backed up to our servers.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRIVARA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM: YOUR USE OF THE APP; ANY SECURITY ANALYSIS OR RECOMMENDATION; ANY QR CODE OR URL SCANNED OR GENERATED; ANY ACTION TAKEN OR NOT TAKEN IN RELIANCE ON THE APP, INCLUDING OPENING CONTENT IN ERROR; ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA; OR ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE APP.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims arising from your use of the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update this policy and these terms at any time, at our sole discretion and without prior notice or obligation. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
